A new one from Laurence King that I might review when I get a copy. It’s titled Creating a Brand Identity, written by Catherine Slade-Brooking.
Elsewhere, I’ve picked out a few of the most relevant Skillshare classes if you’re learning about logos and identity design. Three months of class access costs a mere $0.99 through the link. Bargain.
I’m sure it’ll be useful to many.
If you’re reading this on-site (rather than RSS) you’ll notice a slight change of scenery. Posts in the archives may look a bit odd, but I’m just happy with a clean layout that works nicely on mobiles.
I’ll keep the following self-promotion short. The site has more than 100,000 followers on Twitter, and 450,000 on Facebook. You can keep track of new posts on either of those profiles (except when Facebook hides things), or alternatively subscribe by email and you’ll also get some free content from the book.
Speaking of the book, the second edition’s now available in Spanish (in case you don’t read my other blog).
I’ve not been updating the site as much as usual, thanks to some fantastic client projects (and a certain two-year-old that I love spending time with, mostly). But if there’s anything you want to contribute, perhaps a nice logo case study or thoughts on the design profession, please do get in touch. And I hope you’ll bear with me if you’re already waiting on a reply — I need to direct non-client emails into an “action” folder that tends to get pretty bulky.
Finally, a continued thanks to Fused for doing a stellar job hosting the site.
