Destination branding 101

This is rather interesting advice. I’ve never really considered colors of the destination in relation to the brand before. I wonder however if it would be more effective to take into consideration the colors of the destination and then choose contrasting or complimentary colors so that the brand stands out in its surroundings instead of blending in with it. For example, choosing a nice shade of blue to compliment the “desert sun” image above. Whatever the case, i’m definitely going to factor this into my next branding project if applicable.

i’m pretty sure this ‘advice’ was given tongue in cheek, as it is usually an afterthought to find matching images to justify the palette you’ve already chosen ;-)
