An ambigram, also sometimes known as an inversion, or flipscript, is a graphical figure that spells out one or more words not only as presented, but also in another direction or orientation (from Wikipedia).

Logo design contests receive a lot of bad press, but is it justified? After all, companies hosting a contest can gather tons more ideas than they would if working with just one logo designer, and novice designers are offered the chance to gain ‘real world’ experience.
What’s bad about that?
Quite a lot, actually.

The new Toronto Blue Jays logo isn’t going down too well, and I agree with Jakub’s critique.
If it were up to me, I’d have definitely altered some elements of the original, such as the stitching of the baseball, but the maple leaf and colour red would’ve been kept. Then again, I’m neither Canadian, nor a fan of baseball. Read on for lots more logo design news and reviews.
