Land Heritage was founded just after the Second World War by Somerset farmer Hugh Flatt. Flatt was increasingly struck by how disconnected people had become from the land and from food production. London–based Together Design created the Land Heritage logo to illustrate the charity’s love of the land.
Sadly, the design’s no longer in use. Land Heritage merged with the Paget Estate and the Soil Association in 2007 to form the Land Trust, but the idea behind the memorable logo lives on.

So simple, but so brilliant. This is another one of those “I wish i’d come up with that” logo designs.
Is there a ‘Lost logos’ book idea in the offing David? The book of innovative and clever branding that no longer exists.
Have you seen this one, Lee?

I’m sure I’ve a copy sitting around. The print production was lovely.
