No seriously, I been thinking a lot lately about the differences between inspiration and simply knockoff. Specially since last week I had to defend a logo that I had made for a header section in a news site. The client was worried because the logo had similarities with another logo (actually the only similarities was that both have the same copy and that both were using a handwrite styled typography).

A Picasso style of artwork was used extensively in Apple’s early days, but I don’t know of a credible source for the origins of the finder icon.
